Jesus says in John 4:23-24 that the Father is seeking those to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Redemption Church is contemporary in music without compromising the truth, which strives to encourage genuine worship in the life of a believer that goes beyond Sunday morning.
PASSIONATE WORSHIP
“BUT THE HOUR IS COMING, AND IS NOW HERE, WHEN THE TRUE WORSHIPERS WILL WORSHIP THE FATHER IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH, FOR THE FATHER IS SEEKING SUCH PEOPLE TO WORSHIP HIM” JOHN 4:23
Broadly speaking, worship is a lifestyle, whereby every moment of a believers’ life is devoted to bringing glory to the Lord, and not to themselves. It is a life that exudes Christ, both on and off stage, sincerely from the heart, without the desire to perform. In the context of the church gathered, the worship leader leads the congregation by showing them they too are imperfect, and they can “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that [they] may receive mercy and find grace in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Worship ministry is for a believer whose desire is to live according to God’s standards, regardless of the difficulties they may face. We are seeking authenticity and a life that seeks the Lord through prayer, His word, and repentance and shows growing evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in practical ways.
There are two different areas of the Worship Ministry where you can serve:
Production; this includes running Pro-Presenter on the computer to the sound system or
Worship Team; this includes playing an instrument and/or vocals on a team.
